John Carkeet

Executive Producer

John's passion for telling a story with moving pictures began with the production of his first student film during his junior year at Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, Florida, in 1996. He continued writing, directing and editing various videos while earning his associate's degree from Eastern Florida State College, his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida, and his Master's Degree from University of Florida. In 2004, John co-founded Mabos Entertainment, LLC (later renamed to LimpingFrog Productions) with Adam T Lee.  In the ensuing years John produced scores of  digital video projects ranging from weddings and commercials to short films and sports documentaries. 

John enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve in 2010. His expertise behind the still and video camera led to high praise and numerous awards while serving as public affairs specialist in Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. 

In April 2015 the Army Reserve handpicked John from a pool of several hundred candidates who sought to apply their photography, videography and media relations expertise for U.S. Army Japan. During his nine-month tour in the Land of the Rising Sun, John has managed LFP's assets and major projects while leaving the day-to-day operations in the capable hands of his Production Manager, Courtney Clark. 

When not wearing the uniform or holding a camera, John stays happy and healthy playing board games, working out at the gym, and absorbing all things military history and science fiction. He and his wife, Olivia, currently call Bradenton, Florida, their home.

Courtney studied film at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida, under the expert tutelage of Ralph Clemente, a filmmaking legend who taught some of the finest production specialists in the entertainment industry. Upon graduation, Courtney immediately entered the entertainment industry working as a production assistant numerous internationally acclaimed reality television series such as X Factor and Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER. She later served as an editor for My Big Redneck Wedding, set photographer for The Ultimate Fighter, and worked Super Bowl LIV, The World Series & Miami Open

As a freelance production coordinator, Courtney has worked on various programs produced by TLC, MTV, NBC, ESPN, Fox Sports, and Nat Geo. She has also shot and edited scores of weddings, corporate videos and live events for smaller but no less important venues throughout the country. 

Courtney joined Team LFP to honor former mentor, Adam Lee.

During those precious moments she can venture away from the set and studio, Courtney finds peace, love, and harmony by beating drums, taking Polaroids, practicing yoga, and playing with her golden retriever. Courtney and her husband, Craig, reside in an rv fulltime, traveling the country and making art.

When Adam first set foot inside Time Warner Cable's production studio in Melbourne, Florida, to serve as a volunteer camera operator, the high school freshman had found his home. For the next seven years, Adam would work in nearly every facet of digital media production until he found his niche in editing. His friendship with John Carkeet, a fellow volunteer at Time Warner Cable, would eventually Adam's technical expertise complimented John's management skills as the pair took on progressively more complex projects.  In 2010, Adam proved his partner that he, too,  possessed the traits of an entrepreneur by locking in several lucrative contracts and producing a pair of live streaming broadcasts while John fulfilled his U.S. military obligations. 

Adam and John had just initiated a campaign to expand its live stream and corporate production capabilities when tragedy the very heart of LFP. On May 8, 2015, Adam embarked on a long-awaited excursion to Columbia. He stepped onto a tram that ferried passengers throughout the Orlando International Airport. The tram came to an emergency stop, ejecting Adam through the front window and onto the pavement 15 feet below the monorail.

Hundreds of associates, friends, and loved ones who traveled as far as Europe and Asia paid their respects at a memorial service held at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida.

John, Courtney, and their fellow freelancers will continue to wave the LFP banner knowing that Adam's passion for production was second only to his love and loyalty to his friends and family.
